St. Louis Hawken:

The St. Louis Hawken features a solid brass butt plate, patch box. Trigger guard, wedge plates, nose cap, and thimbles. The double set triggers allow for sensitive preset trigger pull ensuring greater accuracy. Available is either .50 or .54 caliber, the St. Louis Hawken features a 28” blues octagon barrel. The 1 in 48” rifling twist is great for shooting patched round balls. Overall length is 44”.

Youth Hunter:

The Youth Hunter is a wonderful starter gun that is specially designed for the young shooter or a petite lady. At 38” long and weighting a mere 5 lbs. Built according to input from instructors with the YMCA, Hunters Education, Boy Scouts of America, and 4-H, it continues to be a winner in these instructional programs, as well as on the range and in the woods. This “ Great Plains ” rifle was designed and built by such famous makers as Hawken, Gemmer and Demick to specifications of experienced backwoodsmen. No other factory assembled rifle or kit offers the authentic style and design of Lyman’s Great Plains Rifle.
