Overview
Permanent installation applications benefited from the robust nature of the Anaconda. In many cases this may require custom wiring or other modification dictated by a specific job site. As always, the Anaconda is best suited for the job! User defined input and output wiring connectors have been employed for countless theatres, houses of worship, retail environments, feature film productions, even ships!

The flexible nature of the unit make it a natural choice for numerous situations normally not entertained or even feasible. Sophisticated features adapt perfectly for both the seasoned professional and the weekend enthusiast with a comprehensive focus on safety for the whole crew.

No room or no power for a rack system? No problem! The Anaconda dimmer packs will plug into any wall outlet transforming the most mundane room into a Broadway spectacular! Its' compact design allows you to pack the unit anywhere, and with the high efficiency thermal system, there is no cause for concern of overheating.

No lighting console no longer means no lights! The Anaconda incorporates a unique Level Setting Function which allows you to adjust all your light settings directly at the dimmer pack instead of fumbling through data cables and obscure console programming routines.
Level Setting:  "Well, I've got a console for that! Right?" That was true until the janitor from Mega Death got a hold of it. With the Anaconda's level setting ability, even he can't stop the show. Any and every channel can be brought up to whatever look you desire, right on the dimmer pack! Perhaps your establishment decides to alternate between showings of "Les Miserables" and "A Really Boring Guy and a Podium: The History of String"; no need to drag out your lighting desk for "String"! Quickly bring up the lights at your Anaconda's, and your evening plans just got a little brighter! Thermal Efficiency:  Stage lighting means the rest of your equipment better be able to stand the heat or get out of the kitchen!  With the Anaconda's robust extruded aluminum heat dissipater, you'll never have to worry again about lights flickering or just plain shutting off because the dimmers got too hot! In the entire history of the Anaconda dimmer pack, there has never been one instance of thermal shutdown or fatigue!
UL and cUL Listed:  Not many other dimmers can say that. Can yours?
Silent Running:  The Anaconda is heavily filtered for power. This means even noise hypersensitive areas such as CNN reap the benefits of the versatile Anaconda even during live broadcasts! The sixty cycle hum you've probably heard through many sound systems could have easily been avoided by employing professional grade filtering found in the Anaconda!
Voltage Error© Function:  Safety and security first, middle, and last for the Anaconda! Lesser dimmers deal with mis-wiring and various electrical problems...shall we say, ........badly. Lots of fuss and smoke and sparks. Perhaps a fire or two and a visit to the emergency room thrown in for good measure. Not with the Anaconda! Any miswiring or electrical mishap is digitally trapped immediately and power output from the unit shut off until the problem is corrected!
Easy to Read Digital Display: Ever tried to read the display on one of those tiny LCD screens found on a lot of digital equipment? Nine out of ten optometrists agree that reading fine print like that in poor lighting conditions result in a boost in cash flow. Theirs! The Anaconda uses a brightly lit LED read out that can be legibly viewed from any angle, even from across the room!
Full DMX512 Softpatching:  No, it's not higher math, just a way to assign your dimmer channels the way you want! Say you want a light from the front of house (FOH) position to come on at the same time with one from the side of the stage.  With the Anaconda, it's easy! Merely assign both to the same channel without affecting any other lights!  Using other dimmer packages, higher math and programming skills might be called for...
More for your lighting dollar:  Not everyone can afford a multi-million dollar, state of the art installation system (although we do that, too!).  The Anaconda is the perfect way to start down the road of a truly expandable digital lighting system. One that can grow with your needs and budget! No electrician or electrical contractor is needed for the Anaconda dimmers, any common household outlet is all that's required for this dynamo!
No Fuses, No Dipswitches, No Thumbwheels, No Worries:  All digital, all the time. Hate having to keep a stock of different size fuses? Annoyed over octet-based dipswitch assignments? Had your pen create a Rorschach blot test on your shirt after using it to change a thumbwheel setting? No more! The Anacondas' digital display isn't the end of its' inventiveness, only the beginning! Many other dimmers still rely upon antiquated fuse technology popular before the time of Underwriters Laboratories! For electrical surge protection, we employ an apparently little known 21st century device called <drumroll please!> a resettable circuit breaker!

Microprocessor Based Control electronics for digital command over DMX channel assignment, display and power device interface.
Firmware Revision level is displayed at power-up via front panel display.  Custom attributes may be accommodated.
Diagnostics Processor continually runs a routine check for data integrity.  This transparent feature assures continuous reliable service of the Anaconda and prevents processor runaway.
Front Panel Display Consists of four high output seven segment LED displays to provide sharp visual representation of power, DMX data, group decode and soft-patching DMX assignments, pre-set levels and non-dim assignments.
Control Requirements USITT Standard DMX512 digital multiplex control.   Various levels may be selected from the front panel without need for external control, making the Anaconda ideal for practical set-up.
Control Input Optically isolated DMX input.  DMX input and thru connectors, gold plated signal contacts (5 pin XLR).  DMX signal input is represented on display via flashing red LED indicator.   DMX terminator switch is provided on front panel to properly insert a 120 ohm terminating circuit when unit is last device on DMX control line.  External terminators are unnecessary.
Output Regulation Regulation is accomplished by sampling the incoming AC voltage, compensating for line voltage fluctuations and calculating the output voltage (± 2%).
Response Time Instantaneous   < 8ms.
Pre-Heat Any level from full-off to full-on may be preprogrammed into each dimmer channel's output.
Voltage Innovative voltage sensing circuitry instantly shuts down all dimmer functions when neutral or ground conductors rise to a potentially dangerous level.
Non-dim / trigger (NDT) The unit may be designated to operate as a relay, on/off, pack.  Threshold for operation is typically set for a DMX level of 20.
DMX Channel Assignment Selectable menu driven options allow the dimmer to function in a group decode mode (i.e.: DMX channel number displayed is first dimmer channel assigned) or soft patchable mode (any or all dimmer channels may be assigned to any DMX control channel).  Selections via dip switch, rotary knob or thumbwheel shall not be accepted due to their inherent failure rate.
Voltage Monitor Proper power supply operation may be verified by the presence of phase LED's on the front panel display.  Voltage acceptance range:  USA (85VAC - 160VAC), European (200VAC - 265VAC) 45 - 65hz.
Power Capability Four channel x 600 watts, four channel x 1,200 watts or six channels x 800 watts, 100% duty cycle.
Memory Non-volatile memory will retain all pre-configured functional attributes during power down.  (No batteries required)
Filtering Broadcast quality iron core copper wound toroidal filter inductors.  Dimmer's output shall have a current rise at any point on the curve of not over .75% of dimmer rms current rating (ma/µs).  Typically 350µs @ 120VAC.
Response Curve IES - Standard Square Law Curve.
Overcurrent Protection PTR Breakers are used to limit the current to acceptable values.  high current inrush pulses are easily accommodated with safety and security of 100% duty cycle continuous operation.

Voltage error©, protecting your investment, saves your dimmers, saves your lamps, saves the show.

"When we received our first Anaconda dimmers, we wanted to ‘stress test' them to make sure they'd work flawlessly in the field, in all kind of conditions. I checked with (the factory) because some of the ‘tests' we had planned I felt sure would damage or even destroy the dimmers! (You) told me ‘Go ahead. They'll be fine.' and they were! Our (Anaconda) inventory has subsequently quadrupled with those first packs still going strong!"

Ability to work on power grids from 100V (Japan) to 240V (EU).

"Well thought out design.  Bulletproof voltage error technology.  Features, features, features!  Affordable.  Looks really cool too!!"

An incomparable design, the Anaconda is built not only to be bullet-proof and user friendly, but to be in service 24/7.

"With all my other dimmer packages, I used to have to send out spares. Sometimes a duplication of the entire order just to deal with dimmer failure or general misuse. The Anaconda's have saved me both time and money by freeing up my inventory and eliminating down time."
"Had an emergency gig last week, but I had Electrol dimmers, so I knew there would not be a problem."

"We've been using the Socapex output on the Anaconda's directly to our lamp bars for a couple of years.  An entire lighting package can now fit in the back of a van."

"I wish we had more in inventory. They're the most popular dimmers we have!"

"Corporate shows want all lights on at 8am and off at 11pm.  We need a dimmer that won't thermo out on the gig.  Because of the variety of shows we do, the dimmers must be able to handle the road and still work like the day we bought them.  The real reason we like Electrol dimming is the company behind the dimmer."

Multipin available for output.
